Again, not sure who might ever read this, but ...
Made it to the SOM last night and didn't have internet access. Of course I'd spent the entire plane flights getting some civilian work done, so I had to drive around town to "borrow" someone's internet access. No biggie.
This morning we went to a master class by Bobby Shue, which was good (and colorful). You trumpet players might know who that is. Since then we've gone through some computer training and nothing else. Yawn.
I did run into Mr. Alexander already. Probably will see him quite a bit over the next couple of weeks.
Will check in more later.
CIVILIAN UPDATE: This is the first in a series of blog entries I am adding to our band webite. Where appropriate I will provide explanations and translations of Army speak when I copy those entries to the home blog.
SOM = School of Music
ASOM = Army School of Music (the official name)
Mr. Alexander = our new commander, who is currently doing his officer training in residence at the SOM
