Since Kelsianne was up with a fever last night, we tried to let kids sleep in after the girls got home from seminary. That actually seemed to work, as the little ones played together upstairs until after 9:00. Eventually we got everyone downstairs, most ate some breakfast, and school got underway. Kaeli had a pretty good day, Caiden got a few things done, Ceana had a nap until noon. :+) Colton spent some time with his reading program, and eventually we moved him into Rory's room so she could listen to him read and answer the quiz questions. Kylan and I finished off his math for the semester.
While the kids did well, Rory really struggled. She tried several times to choke down some bits of food and eventually we turned to "instant breakfast." Maybe we should have tried that awhile ago ... she said the almong milk and chocolate flavoring made it taste like ice cream. Unfortunately she wasn't able to really be out of bed at all, but she did have enough strength to feed herself (unlike yesterday). We have another appointment for an infusion in the morning to get her additional nausea meds and fluids; we'll see if that helps. On the plus side, dinner tonight was FABULOUS - not fancy, but VERY tasty. And special, home-made chicken noodle soup was thoroughly enjoyed by Rory, since it was soft enough (after I took out the chicken) that she didn't really need to chew very much.
Could be a rough one for her tomorrow - I'll be at Army, Kelsianne has been sick, Rory may not be feeling so great after being on the road in the morning, might have other stuff going on too. Probably will be one of the more challenging days of the past few weeks.
