What do you get when you mix a BBQ chicken skewer and a greedy dog?
You get doggy on a stick - literally. He bit off and swallowed 1/2 the skewer along with the chicken.
You also get a "cha-ching" vet bill after having been there almost daily for an entire week, extra meds, and ending up having them keep him to work on him.
We think they finally made a break-through yesterday. I got a call from the vet herself to talk us through what they did at the office and what we need to keep doing at home over the weekend, and maybe for the next couple of weeks.
She sounded pretty confident that we are past any danger point. I think this whole thing had them totally stumped too. Leave it to our family and LJ to be the one to keep them in business with all of our unusual circumstances and adventures.
He seems to be doing better today, and hopefully we will keep it that way for a good long while.

Oh my goodness! When it rains it pours. Hope LJ's okay and that the weekend goes smoothly. TOTAL bummer on the cha-ching.
