I take Colton to Philomath (1 hr, 1 way) for his OT every week. He has made some huge progress in the last couple of weeks and it has been great to see him moving forward. Last week we had the fun of having a student assistant helping Colton's specialist. They played one of Colton's favorite games - blowing a puff ball across the "field" to get a goal. The exercise is the fine motor control using blowing actions. They had a great time. Colton was also successful with his handwriting (which earned him a gold star at karate) and making eye contact while talking with adults (another earned star)

This week, one of his exercises was still working on tying shoes. This has been an ongoing battle and something he seems to just struggle with all around. This week he finally did it! And not only once, but 3x in a row! His specialist is so patient with him and just sticks right with him. Wish I would have kept the camera out for just one minute longer to capture the big "high 5's" and the huge smile on his face. He was so proud!

His specialist was so impressed with his successes that she got him a prize out of her special box. He thought that was really fun. We are so blessed to have such amazing medical help for Colton. I dont know where we would be without them!
